Real Estate Paralegal
to support their growing real estate practice and play a key role in both residential and commercial transactions. Position Summary
The Real Estate Paralegal will assist attorneys throughout all phases of real estate transactions, including residential and commercial closings. This role requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of real estate law, and the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accuracy. Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and prepare real estate documents including purchase agreements, leases, deeds, title documents, HUDs, and Closing Disclosures Conduct due diligence related to property titles, zoning regulations, and other legal or regulatory matters impacting transactions Review and analyze title reports, identify issues, and prepare clear summaries for attorneys Coordinate real estate closings by scheduling, preparing closing packages, and communicating with clients, title companies, lenders, and other stakeholders Review and summarize real estate contracts and ensure all terms and conditions are satisfied Assist with title insurance review, resolution of title issues, and escrow-related matters Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates, gathering documentation, and answering questions within scope Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations Conduct legal research to support various stages of real estate transactions Maintain organized records of all transactions, filings, and correspondence Prepare and file documents with county and state agencies Support post-closing activities including recording deeds and mortgages, tracking deadlines, and managing final documentation and title opinions Qualifications
Required:
Paralegal certificate or associate degree in paralegal studies 2–3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in real estate law Experience with residential and commercial transactions, including purchases, refinances, and HELOCs Strong knowledge of real estate law, title procedures, escrow, and financing terms Proficiency preparing HUDs and Closing Disclosures Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Experience with SoftPro (ProForm and ProTrust) and e-recording software Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple closings and deadlines simultaneously Preferred:
Experience with document management systems and legal research tools Familiarity working in a fast-paced law firm environment Compensation & Benefits
