The Prep Cook will prepare meal ingredients, simple dishes, condiments, and other items as directed by the chef or sous chefs. They will ensure that pars are met and the kitchen is set up to successfully meet company standards and health requirements at all times.
Responsibilities
Prepares ingredients and produce by peeling, cutting, and portioning as directed by the chef or sous chefs and written company standards Prepares condiments, dressings, and sauces as well as simple dishes such as breads or salads Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and client Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards Assists with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies. Performs other related duties as assigned. Proactive and anticipate the needs of other team members to keep the kitchen running smoothly Assist with back of house cleanliness and organization Qualifications
Exhibit strong multitasking abilities and a diligent work ethic Maintain a clean and professional appearance Proved experience maintaining food safety standards, using proper food handling techniques, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness Ability to prepare ingredients and basic food items according to written directions in English Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. A minimum of 1 year experience in a Full Service Dining experience Available to work nights, weekends and holidays Must be able to stand for the duration of shifts Be able to lift and carry up to 45 lbs Compensation: To be discussed
