What You’ll Do
Machine products to tight tolerances
Read and interpret specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performed
Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometers
Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces
Adjust and set up machine tools for use by machining tool operators
Participate in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements
Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality
Compute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracy
Observe all applicable safety practices
Carry out other duties as assigned
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Requirements
3 to 5 years experience as a CNC VTL Machinist
Previous or current knowledge and experience with manual machine tools operations
Experience with operating lathes or mills and using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers)
Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical drawings
Proficiency in precision measuring instruments and hand tools
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
Preferred CNC l Machinist Certification
VTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) CNC experience
High degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precision
