Job Summary
The Machine Tool Electrician is responsible for installing, wiring, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems on industrial machinery and automated equipment. This role supports machine builds, installations, startups, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced manufacturing or automation environment. Key Responsibilities
Install and wire electrical components on machine tools and automated equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and layout drawings Install and terminate control wiring, power wiring, and field devices Mount and wire control panels, junction boxes, sensors, motors, and safety devices Perform electrical checkout, continuity testing, and I/O verification Troubleshoot electrical issues involving controls, sensors, drives, and motors Assist with machine startups, debugging, and commissioning activities Work closely with mechanical builders, engineers, and controls technicians Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety standards Maintain clean and organized work areas Support installation and service work at customer sites as required
