Job Responsibilities
Comply with and actively promote all safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Cleaning and preparing construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
Excavate by hand ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications.
Must be able to use picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes.
Position, join, align, or seal structural components such as concrete wall sections or pipes.
Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools while distributing them to the appropriate locations according to project plans or specifications.
Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, etc.
Must have knowledge and understanding of the procedures to use the tools and equipment safely and properly.
Organize and maintain tool trailers in a neat and orderly fashion.
Per diem is negotiable when in travel status.
Qualifications
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of Heavy / Civil construction experience preferred
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be willing to lift, pull, bend, push, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be willing to do physical and strenuous work in various types of weather conditions.
