Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of sheet metal work on construction projects, including planning, coordination, and execution.
Coordinate and supervise the activities of sheet metal workers and subcontractors, ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to develop and implement project plans and schedules.
Maintain accurate records of all sheet metal work performed, including materials used, labor hours, and any changes or modifications to project plans.
Interpret specifications, blueprints, submittals, and job orders as needed for the project.
Evaluate mechanics and workers' abilities and expertise to ensure the most productive job placement.
Study schedules and estimate man‑hour requirements for completion of jobs.
Consistently monitor labor and material costs to ensure operation within established budget parameters.
Create RFIs as needed for the job.
Maintain time records.
Maintain company vehicle.
This is a non‑union position.
Qualifications
Proven experience in self‑performing sheet metal work, with a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and installation techniques.
Physical stamina and dexterity, with the ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
Strong understanding of SMACNA, Florida Building, and AHCA codes.
Adept at working with coordinated shop drawings from BIM as well as remodel projects with only contract drawings.
Extensive knowledge of all HVAC duct system installations.
Ability to understand airflow, CFM values, and to use a "Ductulator".
Valid and clean driver's license.
