Overview
MasTec Civil is currently hiring for a Bridge Carpenter Foreman in the Mobile, AL area.
The Foremen are responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of construction workers on a construction site. They must ensure the job is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. The foreman has a crucial role in ensuring the safety of his crew and himself while meeting the daily production targets set by the company. He should possess advanced skills and expertise in all aspects of his work, including cost control, scheduling, specifications, and claims management. Additionally, he is responsible for handling various documentation such as timesheets, production reports, labor reports, men-hour reports, and other essential documentation.

Responsibilities
Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.
Holding daily safety meetings with all crew members at the beginning of each job activity.
Clarifying and explaining construction means and methods to crew members during daily job activities.
Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors.
Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs.
Emphasizing the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures.
Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably.
Regularly reporting project status to supervisors.
Ensuring a clean and organized work area and improving and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
Qualifications
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles.
Ability to read and understand drawings and plans.
Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.
Thorough understanding of quality building practices.
Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.
Familiarity with DOT specs and requirements (for Roadway and MOT operations).
