This Sr. Field Mechanic position supports field teams across the designated service area, performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs.
About The Role You’ll travel to project sites throughout Northern California, Oregon, and Washington, including overnight stays. The role may require responding to emergencies outside regular hours and working overtime, including weekends and holidays. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided, and meals and lodging will also be provided when travel is required.
Location Details This position will ideally be located in Troutdale, OR.

Essential Functions
Perform mechanic assignments using independent judgment in specific work situations.
Provide full range of servicing and repairs on various fleet equipment, complying with manufacturer guidelines and company schedules.
Frequently travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of equipment; maintain a clean service vehicle.
May oversee less experienced mechanics.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Identify mechanical problems visually or with diagnostic equipment.
Maintain records of time, materials, equipment condition, and repairs.
Track information in computer software to ensure accurate repair orders and weekly timesheets.
Conduct safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation.
Work in accordance with DOT, EPA, Interstate Authority, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
Participate in training programs, maintain safety skills and hazardous material training.
Other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy.
Qualifications
Five years of experience in general heavy truck repair, automotive repair, or equipment repair; or a vocational/technical apprenticeship with four years of experience.
Capable of operating company vehicles and equipment daily; Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and good DAC Report.
Preferred: A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL); not required.
Minimum age 18.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Reliable, strong work ethic, able to work independently.
Teamwork skills for effective collaboration.
Effective communication for reading orders and work instructions; accurate log entries.
Basic computer/data entry skills.
Solid mechanical tool, material, and testing equipment experience.
Knowledge of design, adjustment, operation, maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment.
Ability to follow safety rules and procedures.
Understanding of regulatory guidelines and rules.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Required reliability, strong work ethic, independent work capability, teamwork, communication, computer skills, mechanical skills, safety compliance, and regulatory knowledge.
What We Offer Compensation & Benefits
Salary $66,560-83,200 per year, commensurate with experience; paid weekly.
