Job Description Wurth Wood Group is hiring for the position of Specification Sales Representative located in the Hammong/Mobile market. This position requires all candidates to reside within the territory coverage area. The role calls on a wide range of clients including architects, designers, furniture and fixture manufacturers, and kitchen and bath designers. The purpose of this position is to develop specifications for Wurth’s product portfolio such as Wilsonart; laminate, solid surface, quartz, and other decorative surfaces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Actively call on the architect and design community while targeting potential sales growth opportunities

Obtain sales growth objectives for predetermined product categories

Occasionally travel with Wurth sales team to key accounts

Develop project leads, influence specifications and sales for our products, track and communicate progress to the sales team

Maintain a database including contacts, call planning, post‑call action items, target accounts, targeted products and project tracking

Manage and resupply sample libraries in the design community, area showrooms, and branch locations with the current Wilsonart product offerings

Conduct formal and informal presentations with influential design firms, clients and associations such as ASID, AIA, USGBC and others; network with industry associations

Work closely with product vendors developing the specification sales channel

Requirements

Minimum 4 years industry‑related experience in sales, specification sales or design

Bachelor’s or post‑secondary degree in a related field preferred

Experience in design and product development is an asset

Good understanding of the construction and product specification process

Willing to make daily sales calls both locally and out of town; overnight travel is involved

Strong presentation skills, comfortable speaking in front of small and large groups of people

Computer Skills Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM knowledge; PowerPoint presentation development is a must.

Compensation Base Salary:

$55,000–$63,000

Commission:

0.5%–1.5% depending on location, approximately $1,700 per month in commission

Estimated Annual Pre‑Tax Earnings:

Approximately $75,000–$83,000 total (base plus commission)
