Position Summary Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as an Architectural Sheet Metal Foreman. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily activities of field installation and production of metal systems with the highest degree of quality, while ensuring safety and cost‑effectiveness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provide training, leadership, and direction to field staff.

Train employees on safety procedures and equipment.

Maximize productivity while maintaining job costs, installation quality, and employee safety.

Ensure proper utilization of materials and equipment.

Maintain quality practices for the department.

Recruit, mentor, and retain a dependable architectural sheet metal workforce.

Educate employees on best practices, terminology, materials, and equipment.

Plan, administer, and participate as an instructor in company‑sponsored education programs.

Promote proper work ethic and enforce company policies and procedures.

Clean rooftops by snow removal, ice removal, and other debris.

Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

5‑8 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficient knowledge of PC software applications including Word and Excel.

Working knowledge of blueprint reading and specifications.

Valid driver’s license.

Advanced planning skills for maximizing productivity.

Extensive knowledge of multiple types of architectural sheet metal products and systems.

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Basic math skills for measuring in units of measure, handling whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

Starting pay ranges from $28‑$38+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands, fingers, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop or kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Additional Information Successful candidates will be eligible for up to a $1,000 sign‑on bonus. This position requires pre‑employment screening, which includes drug screening, criminal background check, and DMV check.
