Responsibilities
Inspects and services electrical equipment during overhaul to ensure safe operations and prevent future breakdowns.
Tracks, schedules, and performs preventive maintenance on any electrical vessel system.
Researches and orders parts for repairs while maintaining proper inventory to support emergency repairs.
Completes service calls on vessels to make required repairs as needed.
Works with maintenance crew, vendor, and vessel crew when needed to complete repairs such as electrical, plumbing, or mechanical repairs.
Advise leadership and boat crew of technical information and electrical guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations.
Documents all work performed in the maintenance database.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Valid Driver's License
Reliable transportation to and from work
5+ years marine electrical maintenance experience and repair of associated equipment
Ability to acquire TWIC
Ability to be on-call weekends and nights during assigned weeks
Ability to occasionally travel overnight
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Preferred
Prior towboat troubleshooting and repair experience
Electrician Certification/License
Experience working aboard boats
