to join our team. In this role, you will set up and operate conventional and CNC machines and machining centers to produce precision components. You’ll be responsible for inspecting parts, meeting productivity and quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts that support Mate’s industry-leading reputation. Set up and operate CNC and conventional machines of moderate complexity. Produce precision parts while meeting quality, productivity, and delivery expectations. Read and interpret prints, including GD&T requirements. Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges. Identify and report machine, tooling, or process issues. Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with support teams as needed. Participate in continuous improvement activities including 5S, Kaizen events, and value stream mapping. Work toward and maintain work center guideline certification. Promote quality at the source to minimize waste and rework. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support team success through collaboration, openness, and respect. Train or assist others as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements What You’ll Bring High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree preferred. Experience operating CNC and/or conventional machining equipment. Strong understanding of machine tooling, fixtures, products, and machining processes. Experience reading blueprints and applying GD&T standards. Proficiency with precision inspection devices and measurement techniques. Basic knowledge of machine programming features. Experience working with computers and ERP systems. Solid math skills and attention to detail. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and processes. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented mindset. Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Frequent standing and walking. Occasional bending and stooping. Regular use of hands and fingers. Ability to lift, move, or pull up to 35 pounds. Moderate noise level. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Why You’ll Love Working at Mate
Competitive Pay:
$29.17–$37.36 per hour base pay, plus a $1.00/hour second-shift differential. Stable Schedule:
1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday–Friday
