Base pay range POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced
C-130J Flight Control Sheet Metal Mechanic
to support aircraft modification and repair operations in Greenville, SC. This role involves planning, layout, fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of internal and external aircraft structures in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations. Work will focus heavily on flight control surface repairs, thinner gauge material fabrication, and back shop structural repair and part fabrication.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 8 years of recent aircraft structures or sheet metal experience
C-130 experience is preferred but not required, similar wide body experience will be accepted
Experience with flight control surface repair, thinner gauge materials, and back shop fabrication
required
Must be able to provide proof of United States Citizenship
Must possess a valid United States Driver’s License
Must be able to work either 1st or 2nd shift
Position will begin with training, followed by shift assignment based on program needs
Must be able to start on-site in Greenville, SC on January 12, 2026 with all required documents completed
JOB DUTIES
Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair aircraft structures and surfaces
Perform flight control surface repairs and modifications using thinner gauge materials
Conduct back shop fabrication and repair of aircraft structural components
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals
Ensure all work meets FAA, customer, and company quality standards
Operate shop equipment and tooling to complete assigned tasks
Inspect completed work to verify conformance to specifications
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
REQUIRED & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 8 years of recent aircraft structures or sheet metal experience
Thinner gauge material fabrication experience requiredBack shop fabrication and structural repair experience required
Part fabrication experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation and technical manuals
Strong attention to detail and quality
TRAINING & SHIFT ASSIGNMENT
Initial training will be completed on assigned schedule
Final shift assignment will be determined after completion of training
1st Shift
Monday – Thursday, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
2nd Shift
Monday – Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM
