Overview Our client, a Houston area law firm, has a new opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary/Legal Administrative Assistant to support their Public Finance team. While working both independently and collaboratively to accomplish a dynamic set of tasks as may be assigned, day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities Review and finalize correspondence, including proofreading, editing and redlining. Record all client billable hours on the firm's tracking system timely.
Requirements 5 or more years of experience supporting multiple litigation attorneys in a law firm setting. Experience supporting litigation and corporate attorneys is required. Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite of programs (especially Word, Outlook, Excel), Workshare Compare, and NetDocs (or other document management systems) required. Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of Texas real property online recordings (CSC - ePrepare), Texas Secretary of State recordings/searches (SOS Direct), and Texas Comptroller (eSystems) helpful.
Compensation Compensation is salary with overtime pay and is competitive based on experience or skill level; yearly, discretionary bonus possible. Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances offered (with several no-cost options for employee coverage available); 401(k) retirement plan (with employer matching and discretionary, yearly plan profit‑sharing); Paid Holidays; Paid Time Off; Fully Paid Parking. 37.5 hour work week.
