Diesel Service Technician – Construction – Night Shift Join Butler Machinery, a third‑generation family‑owned business that has supported employees since 1955. As a Diesel Service Technician you will use your mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance, diagnostics and repair on all customer equipment, helping our team deliver quality service and continuously improve.

Base pay range $31.78/hr – $51.49/hr

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on construction, agriculture, or power generation systems.

Troubleshoot diesel technology systems and components (hydraulics, electrical, power trains, etc.).

Opportunities for overtime (anything above 8 hours a day at 1.5× rate).

Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Work independently and as part of a high‑performing team.

Commit to lifelong learning and training to stay current with industry standards.

Lift up to 70 lbs.

Travel to other Butler and customer locations as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Work well with minimum supervision.

Proficient computer technology skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Meet and maintain insurability standards for a company vehicle (preferred).

Strong problem‑solving skills and quick learning.

Preferred degree or certificate in a related field or equivalent experience.

Willingness to acquire trade‑specific tooling, including hand and impact tools.

Applied knowledge of basic mechanical theory.

Valid U.S. work authorization; no sponsorship required.
