Marketing Coordinator

We are currently looking for an internal Marketing Coordinator; this person will be responsible for assisting in project management and implementation of communications plans and tactics for internal and external audiences. Works under supervision of CSMO and collaborates with departments, vendors and external organizations to achieve resort objectives. Work products include efforts in support of integrated marketing communication efforts, such as sales collateral, resort signage, menus and vehicle decals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee marketing and communication with departments across the organization
  • Order and maintain inventory of branded office items such as: office forms, letterhead, envelopes, business cards, maps, front desk materials, pens and gift cards
  • Keep all outlets updated with current specials, agendas (Spa, Classic Grill, three pro shops, two front desks, T&C, Marina, Driving Range, Market, and switchboard)
  • Coordinate departmental cross promotions and develop/stock the appropriate collateral
  • Maintain multi-channel communication with Madden's membership database
  • Maintain guest facing (in room) communication pieces including: room directories, recycling info, TV channel guides, local information and guides.
  • Support departments in implementing promotions through internal marketing efforts
  • Ensure that all departments are stocked with collateral, special signage and area information
  • Format and continually update weekly agendas and online outlet hours for social season, Adventure Cove, Package weekends.
  • Coordinate internal information with digital marketing manager for online use and consistency
  • Format, Edit and print restaurant menus for all restaurant brands across the organization
  • Coordinate and source necessary resort signage and branding needs (vehicle decals, directional signage etc)
  • Manage external marketing vendor relationships
  • Meet and conduct tours with media social media influencers and travel writers
  • Work with Marketing team, including agency and PR partner, in strategizing, campaign development, budgeting of annual marketing plan
  • Acting Chamber Liaison: insuring Brainerd and Nisswa chambers are current with collateral, specials and negotiate ad placements
  • Assist as needed with public relations, social media content generation, graphic design, branding and design projects, reporting
  • Collaborate with team on overarching annual marketing strategy and tactics
  • Assist the CSMO with job related tasks
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Performs other duties as required

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or business administration or equivalent number of years of experience
  • Graphic design experience, portfolio or examples welcome

Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing or a related field. Previous relevant coursework or experience.

This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.

Work is performed in multiple outlets and facilities.

Primarily stationary such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50-pound boxes and items sometimes repeatedly.

8:00am 4:30pm Monday through Friday with occasional nights and weekends.

Less than 10% travel required.
