Tool And Die Maker
The Tool and Die Maker is responsible for supporting the tooling and production department by machining parts to repair and troubleshoot metal stamping dies and tooling. This role involves repairing and installing die sensors, laying out, fitting, and assembling parts to make and repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges. The position requires studying blueprints to determine layout plans and processes for machining, disassembling dies for cleaning, sharpening, and repair, and utilizing measuring instruments to verify dimensions and alignments. Responsibilities: Support the tooling and production department by machining parts for repair and troubleshooting metal stamping dies and tooling. Repair and install die sensors. Lay out, fit, and assemble parts to make and repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges. Study blueprints to determine layout plans and machining processes. Disassemble dies for cleaning, sharpening, and repair. Utilize measuring instruments to verify dimensions and alignments. Essential Skills: 5+ years experience in troubleshooting and repairing metal stamping dies. 5+ years of experience in blueprint reading within industrial/manufacturing settings. 5+ years experience operating mills, lathes, grinders, tig, forklifts, and overhead cranes. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Tig welding experience is a plus. Ability to operate a forklift or overhead crane is a plus. Why Work Here?
