We're looking for a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our growing team! In this role, you'll specialize in milling machining centers, setting up and operating 3- and 4-axis CNC mills to produce precision parts. You'll also have opportunities to work with manual machines, including drill presses, surface grinders, Bridgeport mills, and lathes. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and creating high-quality parts from blueprints, this is the perfect opportunity for you. What You'll Do Set up and operate 3- and 4-axis CNC milling machines Perform occasional manual machining using drill presses, grinders, and lathes Interpret blueprints and manufacture parts to exact specifications Build and set up your own tools (drills, taps, end mills) Use edge finders and indicators for precise setups What We're Looking For Strong experience in CNC mill setup and operation Familiarity with horizontal and vertical milling machines Ability to read blueprints and use gauges and tooling Knowledge of Fanuc controls, GD&T, and precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) Experience working with materials from aluminum to mild steel Why You'll Love Working Here Competitive pay Comprehensive benefits: health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Plan with company match Supportive team environment with 16 skilled professionals Modern machine shop equipped with 4 vertical 3-axis mills and 2 horizontal 4-axis mills Ready to Take the Next Step? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
