Overview:
Responsible for accurate and timely entry of freight invoices, ensuring compliance with payment terms and client requirements. This role blends speed and precision in processing and balancing accounts while maintaining strong communication with carriers and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and verify freight bill details (amounts, locations, cost allocations, GL distributions).
Balance and review entries weekly; reconcile invoices and EDI transactions.
Prevent duplicate payments and ensure data accuracy; prepare funding requests and reports.
Communicate with carriers and clients to resolve payment inquiries and discrepancies.
Support process improvements and automation initiatives.
Maintain organized records and adhere to document retention policies.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (AP experience or college degree preferred).
Knowledge of accounting principles; strong math and analytical skills.
High accuracy and attention to detail; confidentiality required.
Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office (10,000 kph preferred).
Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills; team-oriented.
