The Account Associate supports client retention for assigned constituents (producers, plan sponsors, customers), business or customer segment, and products, services, and geographies by providing issue resolution and information to existing accounts throughout their respective lives. They work independently to solve problems and renewal-related issues for existing business to enable the Account Manager to focus on growth opportunities. They are responsible for end-to-end renewal contract process. They will ensure timely and accurate enrollment, installation, setup, and eligibility for renewals. Fundamental components include identifying constituent-specific service issues, providing constituents with Aetna policy, plan design and benefit changes, collaborating with account management team to achieve growth/renewal objectives, supporting plan administration activities, assisting in constituent training on product and policy questions, creating collaborative partnerships with sales to develop a comprehensive growth strategy for assigned book of business. Required qualifications include at least 1 year of professional experience in customer service, proficiency with desktop software applications, location in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, or Rhode Island, willingness to travel 10-20% within the New England market, and resident insurance license or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire. Preferred qualifications include outstanding written and oral communication skills, exceptional project management skills, problem solving, and attention to detail, exceptional relationship-building skills, demonstrated planning/organizational skills, ability to work on many issues at once and to prioritize work, ability to develop strong working relationships with matrix partners to drive deliverables, and ability to work 3 days in the Hartford, CT or Boston, MA offices. Education: Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience (High school diploma + 4 years relevant experience).
