Salary: $1,000.00 - $1,400.00
Job Overview Responsible for providing excellent service, food and/or beverage, and a fun, clean atmosphere to the guests according to the standards and expectations.
Job Accountabilities & Expectations
Provide friendly, courteous service to all guests, guaranteeing they intend to return.
Ensure guests receive immediate, friendly, and personalized service.
Guide guests through the menu, answer questions thoroughly, and suggest specific items; provide information about the venue.
Deliver accurate orders.
Communicate and establish rapport with guests; get to know guests by name.
Practice full hands‑in/full hands‑out service.
Make guests happy by exceeding service expectations.
Handle guest complaints correctly and notify a manager.
Present food and beverages to guests as soon as they are prepared; possess full knowledge of food and beverage products and utilize suggestive selling techniques.
Conduct final quality checks on food before it is run to the guest; maintain specifications by only serving items that are properly prepared.
Deliver and/or carry food and beverages with a sense of urgency to the correct tables, with or without trays.
Ensure a high standard of service efficiency, sanitation, and training.
Write down all orders and accurately enter them into the POS system.
Follow all proper cash‑handling procedures.
Clear and clean all tables, booths, and chairs.
Keep the floor clean and free of debris.
Use and maintain all tools and equipment safely.
Complete required and ongoing training for the position.
Assist management in training new staff members within the department when applicable.
Prioritize and complete all assigned station tasks, sidework, and station setup for maximum productivity and efficiency; complete all opening, running, and closing duties.
Maintain the work area by organizing and cleaning service stations, and pre‑bus tables as needed.
Scrape, rack, and stack all dishes and glassware properly in the dish area.
Assist the host with greeting and seating when necessary.
Ask for help whenever it is needed.
Ensure a harassment‑free environment through proper personal conduct.
Use respectful language with guests, staff members, and managers at all times.
Understand, comply with, and enforce all company policies and procedures.
Adhere to responsible alcohol service established by company policy.
Understand and utilize all safety and sanitation practices as defined in the safety program; report any accidents.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or determined by management.
Education and Skills
High school diploma or GED preferred.
1 to 2 years serving in a high‑volume food and beverage environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
18 years of age or older.
Good reading, writing, mathematical, and communication skills.
Able to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.
Able to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
Good judgment and decision‑making abilities.
Health permit/food safety and Alcohol Awareness certification. Staff members must obtain cards individually and provide proof of possession prior to the first day of employment, subject to local laws (US only).
Physical Requirements (as required by OSHA and ADA – US only)
Must be able to spend 100% of working time standing, walking, and reaching.
Must be able to push, pull, and lift objects from a lower to a higher position or move objects horizontally from position to position.
Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
Climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.
Must be able to carry loads greater than 35 pounds and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests in the primary language of the restaurant.
Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
