Server Responsibilities

Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner.

Serve cocktails and/or menu items to bar guests and up-sell when taking orders.

Maintain an energetic, outgoing, fun demeanor while remaining professional at all times.

Provide outstanding, professional service with a smile to ensure guest satisfaction.

Communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff both verbally and via the point-of-sales system.

Communicate with guests clearly, patient and with good humor.

Be well-versed in all concept products and menu items to guide the guest experience and sell food and beverage items.

Consistently check guests’ identification to verify minimum age requirements for alcohol consumption.

Monitor guests’ behavior and alcohol consumption to determine when service should cease; notify management of excessive consumption or impaired condition.

Complete all side work assigned.

Accurately account for all sales and payments from guests.

Alert management of any service and/or safety issues, and make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines.

Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.

Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages.

Server Qualifications

At least 1 year of serving in a fast-paced food and beverage venue, preferably a nightclub environment.

Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishes.

Must meet state legal age requirements.

Fluent in English; other languages preferred.

Courteous, pleasant and good-natured.

Strong communication skills when interacting with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks and supervisors.

Valid alcohol awareness certification, food service permit or health/food handler card as required by local or state agency.

Reading and writing abilities for taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.

Basic math skills when handling cash and credit.

May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Physical Requirements

Handle, carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds (barware, carts, boxes, bottles, etc.).

Efficiently and safely stand and move about the entire facility during each shift.

Handle food, objects, products and utensils effectively and safely.

Will be required to bend, stoop, kneel and lift.
