Structural Fitters/Welders
for a client in the Anderson, TX area.
Job Summary The client is looking for qualified Structural Fitters/Welders to support a growing industry. Must be a self-starter that is willing to lead by example in the manufacturing of Oil Field Service Equipment. Work will primarily be in a shop environment and must have all tools as well as the knowledge to lay out complex structural components. MIG/FCAW required and TIG a plus.
Job Duties
Perform welding tasks effectively using GMAW and FCAW processes
Review production drawing and determine fabrication process
Prepare material for fabrication, sawing, grinding, etc
Set welding machine for required output
Perform welding process to achieve dimensions required on the drawing
Move finished part to required location
Ensure all work performed is in a quality minded, tidy & accurate manner
Adhere to all Company policies
Follow all quality, health, safety, and environmental programs
Attend work per work schedule
Possess all tools required for the position within 90 days of employment
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 1-3 years of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Previous certification a plus
Must be able to pass a weld test of 3G 1/2' plate open root MIG and Flux fill and cap
Must be able to use standard fabrication shop equipment
Must possess basic mathematical skillsMust be able to read, understand and follow diagrams, schematics and drawings
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
