Servers are integral members of our Food & Beverage Services team. Servers are responsible for providing a positive and memorable food and beverage experience for members and guests of our Club.
Job Responsibilities include:
Providing prompt genuine hospitality to all members and guests.
Offering recommendations, answering questions, and suggesting menu items with a keen understanding of menu offerings and ingredients with consideration of dietary restrictions & allergies.
Taking and relaying orders, special requests, modifications, or cooking instructions from Members & Guests, ensuring accurate and efficient communication with the kitchen via Oakmont’s Northstar Point-of-Sale system.
Assembling food and accompaniments on trays, procuring items from each station, and serving meals in both a la carte and banquet environments.
Provide attentive service, checking back to ensure member/guest satisfaction, replenishing water, butter, bread, and beverages needed or anything otherwise requested.
Clearing soiled dishes, glassware, and utensils ensuring a clean and neat table at all times.
Ensuring all dining areas are “Member Ready”; cleanliness and organization of Service Stations, Tables, Chairs, Menus, Silverware, Glassware, and Surrounding Floors.
Gracefully transporting linens to and from the laundry for daily use; Ensuring fresh linens are without stains, moisture, or wrinkles prior to using them for the setting of tables.
Promptly reporting any Member or Guest issues, complaints, or suggestions to Leadership.
Attending pre-shift meetings to stay informed and prepared; Must arrive “Member Ready”; Timely, Prepared, Hygienic, and ready to service Members and their respective Guests.
Attentively, and cooperatively completes all opening, on-shift, and closing side work duties or other duties, as assigned by leadership.
Comply with health and safety regulations, including responsible food and alcohol service practices.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
Capability to stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, and reach; Capability to perform continuous repetitive motions.
Ability to frequently lift objects up to 25lbs and skillfully carry food trays.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligning with the nature of Oakmont Country Club’s demands.
Exceptional communication skills to ensure effective coordination in a dynamic work environment.
Friendly and cooperative demeanor to engage seamlessly with Members, Guests, and Staff.
Demonstrate ability to remain calm and professional in a face-paced work setting.
RAMP Certification (Required – 30 Days after Hire).
Previous serving and Northstar (POS) experience is a plus.
