Overview
The Prep Cook is responsible for providing culinary support to the kitchen in the preparation and presentation of all dishes. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
Skills
Proven experience as prep cook in a high-volume environment
Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
Able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
Ability to stay positive under pressure
Responsibilities
Manage station from start to finish.
Cook menu items.
Ensure that all food products have been prepared correctly before cooking.
Manage proper storing temperatures according to DOH regulations.
Qualifications
Experience as a prep cook in a high-volume kitchen
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service
Ability to operate kitchen tools and equipment safely
Positive, team-oriented attitude under pressure
