Summary of Position: If you’re the kind of person who enjoys setting the stage for culinary excellence behind the scenes, this is your time to shine. Big Chill Island House is seeking detail-oriented Prep Cooks to help lay the foundation for our delicious waterfront fare. You'll work in a supportive environment where precision, freshness, and consistency are key to helping the team succeed. Help fuel the line and make sure every service starts strong. Must Enjoy the Ride! Duties & Responsibilities

Prep ingredients for daily service, including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, and preparing sauces, dressings, and batters. Follow established recipes and preparation procedures Properly label, date, store, and rotate all prepped food to maintain freshness and reduce waste. Ensure all prep areas are clean, sanitized, and organized. Support the line by ensuring all necessary items are stocked and ready for service. Maintain high standards of food quality, appearance, and consistency. Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Occasionally assist with basic cooking tasks during slower shifts or as directed by the kitchen manager. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Manager On Duty Live the brand and be a brand ambassador; make decisions in the best interest of the business at all times Qualifications

2+ years of full-service restaurant kitchen experience desired Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have reliable transportation to/from work Must be eligible to work in the United States Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours). Must be able to stand, reach, bend, squat, and lift during shift Must possess a friendly, hardworking demeanor with a passion for hospitality and providing top-notch guest service Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds Strong organizational and time management skills; must possess ability to be organized in a changing environment Hours & Pay

This position pays $15-18/hour based on experience, with awesome employee perks.
