Overview
We are seeking a caring and reliable Adult Peer Support Specialist to provide goal-focused, person-centered support to adults facing emotional or behavioral challenges. The role is rooted in lived experience, empathy, and empowerment.
Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one peer support using lived experience appropriately.
Help individuals build coping skills, daily living skills, and natural supports.
Assist with setting goals and staying motivated toward recovery.
Support access to community resources and services.
Document visits timely and accurately.
Collaborate with supervisors and care teams as needed.
Qualifications
Lived experience with mental health or behavioral challenges (required).
Peer Specialist certification or willingness to obtain it.
Strong communication, reliability, and boundaries.
Ability to travel for community-based visits.
High school diploma or equivalent.
