A growing national company is seeking individuals to join a team of professional
home inspectors . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, articulate, outgoing, personable, presentable, and follows our standard process to complete an accurate, thorough quality home inspection and detailed report.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The inspector is required to have a basic knowledge of residential home systems and elements and is expected to work in various weather conditions, climb ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time. Solid computer technology skills are necessary for report writing and communications.
The ideal candidate stays current on latest company initiatives, policies, and procedures, while continually developing advanced technical knowledge in building science. Punctuality, the ability to work independently and a strong work ethic are also required.
Travel to home inspection site Inspect all areas of the home, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, framing, HVAC, siding and roofing for possible defects or potential problems Keep daily logs, write up reports and take photographs Review findings with client and/or agent
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Construction, real estate, or home repair experience preferred Strong understanding of building codes, laws and government regulations Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude Physically fit for climbing ladders, walk on roofs, access crawl spaces and attics, and stand for long periods of time Able to lift 50 lbs May be required to enter homes that contain allergens such as pets, dust, mold, or other
