Our restaurant needs an experienced Sushi Chef to join our team. You will prepare sushi rolls and dishes from the sushi bar. Our ideal candidate is comfortable with a variety of sushi rolling, plating, and related cooking techniques and has experience working in a busy sushi restaurant. Advanced knife cutting skills and Fish Butchery are a must. We expect our sushi chefs to be friendly and interact with customers, providing recommendations on different dishes when requested.

Sushi Chef Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare raw fish and other sushi ingredients

Roll and plate dishes

Maintain a clean and safe workspace

Coordinate with wait staff to ensure an efficient flow of orders

Regularly take sushi bar inventory

Maintain a stock station for service as well as next day set up

Learn restaurant techniques and preparation

Sushi Chef Requirements and Qualifications

2 years minimum as sushi chef (Only applicants with experience will be considered)

Culinary arts education and training (preferred)

Cooking and sushi-making experience

Food handler's card

Knife skills

Communication, time-management, and organizational abilities
