Multi-Licensed Fire Protection Inspector Position The Fire System Inspector’s duties include testing and inspection of fire sprinkler systems, backflow preventer assemblies, fire alarm systems, special hazard systems, portable fire extinguishers, and kitchen hood systems with knowledge of multiple manufacturers’ products. We have a need for self-motivated, customer service-oriented Inspectors with strong written and verbal communication skills.The Inspector will provide accurate and detailed inspections reports with all proper documentation on improvements and complications. The ideal successful candidate has and is competent with the following licenses: RME-I, BPAT, FAL, FEL-K.Although not required, it is beneficial to also have FEL-A

This position has a salary range of$35+ per hourdepending on experience

and licenses. Job Responsibilities

Performance of daily, weekly, monthly, and/or annual inspections and preventative maintenance services on various sized fire extinguishers, fire alarms, fire sprinkler systems, fire sprinkler pumps and tanks, kitchen hoods, special hazard systems, backflows, and exit lights.

Repair, replace, fill, and tag all fire extinguishers.

Service, test, and inspect all fire life safety systems.

Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports.

Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Assist in the scheduling and completion of assigned duties.

Ability to work independently and use provided personal protective equipment.

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Two years of experience as a licensed inspector in the fire protection industry.

Has and is competent with the following licenses: RME-I, BPAT, FAL, FEL-K.

Understand NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and building and fire codes.

Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and written.

Valid driver’s license; in accordance with company policy required.

Able to pass a post-offer drug test and background check.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
