Part-Time Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters
to join our growing team. If you are an experienced, reliable animal lover looking for a fun and flexible way to earn income, we want to meet you!
This is an on‑call position covering our client base across
Laurel, Maryland, and Columbia, Maryland . You’ll be responsible for providing premium care, exercise, and companionship to our amazing canine and feline clients.
Core Duties & Responsibilities We look for self‑starters who are passionate about the safety and happiness of every pet they encounter.
1. Dedicated Pet Care
Provide dedicated, customized dog walks and exercise, ranging from
15 to 60 minutes , regardless of weather conditions (rain, shine, or snow!).
Perform in‑home
cat wellness checks , ensuring fresh food and water, litter box cleanliness, and dedicated attention or playtime.
Fulfill basic needs checks for all pets, including refreshing food and water supplies.
Handle pet waste removal (for dogs outdoors and litter boxes indoors).
Master and follow all special requests and conditions for individual animals.
Provide maximum
love, affection, and positive attention
to every pet under your care.
2. Safety and Security
Ensure the safety of the
pets
you are caring for, as well as the surrounding humans and animals, at all times.
Maintain strict
security protocols
for client homes during pet pickup and drop‑off.
Supervise pets actively to prevent injury or conflict during walks and in‑home visits.
3. Client Communication & Support
Capture and share
"pet updates" —fun photos and notes on how the animals are doing—with clients for reassurance and enjoyment.
Accurately record all activity, noting duration, services performed, and any unusual observations during the visit.
Respond to client inquiries professionally and promptly regarding their pet’s service.
As needed: Provide occasional extended
in‑home pet‑sitting services
for both dogs and cats based on your availability.
Administrative & Community Support (Minor Duties)
Deliver marketing material and stock dog treat stations at Puppy Luv's contracted apartment communities in the service areas.
What You Need to Bring Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Transportation:
Must have
reliable personal transportation
(car, SUV, etc.) to travel efficiently throughout the Laurel and Columbia service areas.

Ability to manage a flexible,
on‑call schedule
is essential.
Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear client interaction and detailed logging.
