Provides all maintenance, installation and repair activities of Plant Operations for the medical school complex. Also provides general maintenance to all HVAC and support equipment for all the uptown/downtown satellite facilities. This includes preventive and corrective maintenance.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Capable of receiving and giving oral, written and diagramed instructions

Must have mechanical skills and aptitude

Must have ability to think and act quickly in emergencies

Must have ability to read and interpret blueprints

Must have experience in electricity, pneumatics, plumbing, piping, and sheet metal

Required Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

Five years experience in welding, burning, installation and repairs of boiler, cooling towers, chillers and large pumps. Five years experience in the operation and maintenance of power plant.

Compensation Information This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 24.
