Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Programmer role in Cincinnati, OH.
Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities:
Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for milling and/or turning operations to support production needs. Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment to ensure efficient and accurate machining. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine machining requirements. Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters to achieve precision and efficiency. Conduct in-process inspections using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMMs, etc.) to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve machining challenges and improve processes. Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, tooling lists, and process adjustments. Monitor equipment performance and promptly report any malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machining, workflow efficiency, and quality control. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in CNC programming or machining technology strongly preferred. 2+ years of experience in CNC programming (Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, or similar). Strong understanding of G‑code, machining principles, and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T. Experience with setup, tooling, and machine operation in a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision. Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast‑paced environment. What We Offer:
