You strive for an efficient, well‑oiled machine, and that’s exactly what the kitchen is, thanks to your prep. Everything from chopping, breaking down, cutting, weighing, mixing, washing, storing, unloading, readying – you play a vital role in the kitchen’s day‑to‑day routine. Responsibilities and Qualifications

Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training. Prepare menu items according to Flanigan’s company recipe manual and plate presentation. Ensure rotation of all products and stock products to par level to keep the kitchen running smoothly. Help complete assigned prep work, stock and set up stations as necessary. Transport items to and from kitchen, help vendor unload delivery trucks. Clean and maintain kitchen area throughout shift. Break down and clean all stations at closing. Work flexible shift schedule which may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays. Physically stand/walk 100% of shift. Reach, bend, stoop as required. Speak, read, and write English. Read recipes and food labels. Read POS ticket orders. Communicate ticket times, execute food flow from kitchen to guests, and report potential issues to manager on duty. Safely use kitchen machinery (open flame grill, stove, slicer, etc.). Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans. Work safely with sharp knives and utensils. Lift up to 50 lb several times per shift, and lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers. Hold items weighing up to 5 lb for long periods of time. Work in high temperature, damp indoor environment, and minimally outdoors. Assist fellow employees with dishwashing and cleaning as needed. Complete and pass food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes. Work five (5) day week with two (2) consecutive days off. Receive paid vacation: one week after year one, two weeks after two years, and three weeks after ten years. Receive Christmas bonus after one year (equivalent to one week’s pay). Health insurance – medical & dental programs available. 401(k) plan – immediate eligibility; must be 21 or over to enroll. Advancement based on performance, not tenure. Free shift meals. Fort Lauderdale, FL $16.00-$16.00
