Job Description
Commerce Studios is seeking a Producer with experience producing tape features and live segments. The Producer will coordinate details for complex shoots, script tape feature segments and produce live segments across all hours of TODAY and various NBC News brands and platforms. The producer must be able to work well with several departments internally and externally and ensure success for all project stakeholders. The Commerce Studios team is a group of producers, photographers and designers dedicated to producing shoppable segments across our linear and digital platforms and creating graphics and original photography for our commerce content. An interest in shoppable content and an eye on what’s trending is encouraged and the ability to organize and juggle multiple assignments and details is required. The producer must work creatively to feature brands, entrepreneurs, financial literacy tips and products, while maintaining the editorial integrity of NBC News and follow all journalistic standards and practices. Candidates should have a creative eye, passion for producing, storytelling and discovering new brands and products that improve viewers’ daily lives.
Responsibilities
Coordinate logistics for complicated shoots and live commerce content for the portfolio of NBC News brands and platforms
Conduct pre-interviews, scout locations, script tape and live segments and ensure edit elements are shot
Work with graphic artists and editors to bring segments to life for air
Collaborate with commerce HQ, Partnerships, Legal & Standards and other teams across NBCU
Product research, test and pitch for various platforms
Act as a liaison with external contacts such as PR firms for product inquiries and details with internal departments such as the Design Team for prop needs
Manage special projects as designated, book guests as needed, problem solve creatively
Follow detailed steps regarding internal tracking documents for various projects, segments, research materials.
Qualifications
At least 6+ years experience creating content.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications or other discipline emphasizing storytelling or multimedia creation or equivalent experience.
Deep understanding of the news marketplace and the opportunities for strategic content.
Self-starter who can book and produce complex shoots as well as adapt editors’ ideas into successful production plans.
Desired Characteristics
Understanding of production functions of shows and platforms to produce deliverables for sponsorship packages.
Experience in commerce production.
Maintain editorial integrity while appreciating the commercial business.
Exceptional organization skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Creative thinker who understands the importance of monetizing content while maintaining editorial integrity.
Must be aware of latest formats and trends in digital video as a distinct form of content.
Imaginative and creative producer with strong editing, writing and social skills along with a bottomless list of fresh ideas for stories and new ways to engage with users.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a project-based position with an estimated duration of 6 Months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables are completed.

$85,000 - $100,000
