Group Summary

The Media Partnerships Group is responsible for sales and activation of the NBA, WNBA, NBA G-League, Basketball Africa League, USA Basketball Owned and Operated media channels. This includes, but is not limited to, NBA.com, the NBA App, NBA TV, and NBA Social Media Channels. The group collaborates with all the NBA's global media partners to effectuate media sales across the full ecosystem.

Position Summary

This role supports the day-to-day management of advertising sales partnerships across the NBA, WNBA, and G-League. The Ad Sales Partnerships Associate will play a key role in ensuring smooth execution of sponsorship deliverables, maintaining accurate sales records, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maximize partnership value.

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update key inventory trackers for sold sponsorship positions across NBA, WNBA, and G-League properties.
  • Ensure accuracy of sponsorship records and provide timely updates to sales leadership.
  • Review and track all new in-game sales creative and sponsorship elements.
  • Coordinate approvals and ensure creative assets meet league and partner standards.
  • Support weekly updates of the sales pipeline across NBA Digital and NBATV.
  • Provide reporting and insights to sales leadership to track progress against goals.
  • Partner with internal teams (content, marketing, operations, legal) to identify expanded sponsorship opportunities with media partners.
  • Coordinate executions and workflows with media partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in monitoring advertising policy compliance across owned-and-operated platforms and media partners.
  • Ensure advertising and sponsorship activations adhere to league guidelines and industry standards.
  • Proactively share competitor activities and industry insights with the Media Partnership team to inform strategy.

Required Education/Professional Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, sports administration or related field
  • 2+ years' experience within media, entertainment, and sports sales or media industry
  • Knowledge of brand marketing tactics, standard media planning terminology, and metrics

Salary Range: $85,000 - $95,000
