What You'll Do:

We have an opportunity for a Technical Publications Writer to support our Triton MQ4C aircraft and mission systems team in Jacksonville, FL. Our ideal candidate will be able to utilize their hands-on Triton aircraft/MOD/FOB maintenance experience to assist in the writing and development of technical publications. As the Technical Publications Writer, you will be responsible for authoring technical communications, editing interactive manuals, and assisting the Triton Fleet Support Team during verification/validation of on-aircraft procedural reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting analysis, reviews, and evaluation of engineering data and requirements to develop and produce customized maintenance products.
  • Creating technical data packages from vendor source data, Navy engineering support, and Navy logistics teams in support of the product development process.
  • Become an expert editing Extensible Markup Language (XML) in S1000D Issue 4.1 specification.
  • Adhering to established processes to incorporate Technical Publication Deficiency Reports (TPDRs) and Electronic Rapid Action Changes (ERACs) utilizing a Common Source Database (CSDB) tool set.

Requirements:

What You'll Bring:

Required Qualifications:

  • Navy Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) qualification.
  • 7 years of aircraft/avionics technician experience.
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Systems, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal education and/or a combination of education and technical writing experience.
  • 3 years of hands-on Triton aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Quality Assurance (QA) experience.
  • Experience in NAVAIR 00-25-604 requirements, graphics in publications, product design, system operation, or related field.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Salary Range:

  • The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000, commensurate with an individual's experience, qualifications, and skill set. ASEC is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation.
