Westwood Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced
Activities Director
to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, organized, and compassionate professional who is passionate about enriching the lives of residents in a longterm care setting.
Position Overview The Activities Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Activity Department. This role ensures that a vibrant, meaningful, and person-centered program of activities is provided to meet the physical, mental, emotional, and psychosocial wellbeing of each resident.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and oversee a comprehensive, ongoing activities program tailored to residents’ interests and needs
Ensure programs support residents’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial wellness
Supervise, train, and support Activity Aides
Lead and participate in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection of Activity Department personnel
Maintain compliance with all regulatory guidelines and documentation requirements
Foster a positive, engaging environment that promotes resident participation and quality of life
Qualifications
Experience in
Long Term Care
required
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Creativity, compassion, and a genuine desire to enhance residents’ daily experiences
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and families
