We’re looking for a

Communications Specialist

to amplify our voice across press, email, web, and social—especially through daily news curation and our

I Love Senior Living

campaign. At Argentum, we champion the people, communities, and innovations that make senior living thrive.

What you’ll do:

Press & media support:

Draft, edit, and proofread press releases, advisories, and statements; help build press lists, distribute releases, and track coverage.

Daily news curation (Rasa.io):

Curate Argentum’s Daily News email, monitor industry trends, and recommend engagement improvements.

I Love Senior Living campaign:

Support execution of the communications plan, craft short‑form content (social, email blurbs, talking points), and repurpose stories and assets from members and partners.

Content & messaging:

Edit web content and email copy; uphold brand voice and key talking points across platforms.

Collaboration & project support:

Partner with policy, membership, education, events, and research teams; coordinate with external vendors and partners; jump in on campaigns and special projects as needed.

Are a sharp writer and editor with PR instincts and media management skills.

Juggle projects with strong organization and a calm, proactive approach.

Collaborate well across levels and functions.

Bring creativity for social and short‑form content (basic graphic design a plus).

Think strategically and use data to improve communications.

Communicate with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism.

Are comfortable with digital tools and platforms (email, web, multimedia).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, PR—or equivalent experience.

2–4 years

in communications, content, or marketing; association/nonprofit experience welcomed.

Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading; detail‑oriented.

Experience with email/newsletter tools or marketing automation;

familiarity with Rasa.io

a plus.

Comfortable with social media and digital channels.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines in a part‑time schedule.

Passion for storytelling in the

senior living

space.

Proficiency in

MS Office .

Schedule & Work Environment This is a

part‑time, non‑exempt

role (up to

20 hours/week ), Monday–Friday during
