Dock & Door PM Tech

Full-time Summary:
Perform scheduled routine maintenance on customers’ loading dock equipment and related accessories on a contractual basis to ensure longer life, improved safety, and complete value of their loading dock equipment. Job Description: Drive to customers’ location on a scheduled basis. Clean area of all debris. Lubricate, adjust, and verify proper operation of all serviced components. Perform a safety inspection of all serviced components. Document and communicate necessary repairs or safety concerns to customer representative. Requirements: Perform PM Service on Dock & Door Equipment. Welding (certified preferably). Commercial Door experience. Dock equipment experience. Some electrical knowledge. Able to operate scissor lift or forklifts (training and certification provided). Knowledge of OSHA/ANSI regulations as they pertain to loading dock equipment. Ability to fill out and complete work orders, with neat, clean, legible, organized paperwork and documentation. Can lift up to 50 lbs. (and occasionally in excess). Excellent driving record. Maintain and safely operate service vehicle. Effectively communicate with customers, co‑workers and management. Work Experience Requirements:
2–3 years of relevant experience. Education/Certification/License Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED. WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must have the physical stamina to perform continuous full-body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, lifting and reaching, etc. Work is performed in a maintenance environment with potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, or solvents which require knowledge of proper safety procedures. Work is performed at customer locations, including manufacturing, warehouses, and cold storage facilities and in other (sometimes) difficult or outdoor environments. DISCLAIMER:
