Inside Sales & Visual Communications Specialist
FASTSIGNS #223501, Hilliard, Ohio, United States, 43026
We’re looking for an accountable, customer-focused sales leader.
At FASTSIGNS of Hilliard, the Inside Sales Manager (also known as a Visual Communications Specialist or VCS) is more than a CSR — they are the
bridge between our clients’ needs and our production team's execution . This role is perfect for someone who thrives on managing details, building relationships, and moving projects from initial inquiry to successful delivery.
You’ll be the
first point of contact
for customers and will guide them through the sign buying process from start to finish — including estimates, project coordination, site surveys, and installation scheduling. You’ll also be trained to manage the
sign permitting process
and will play a key role in ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
What You’ll Do
Customer Engagement & Sales
Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in, phone, email, and E-commerce inquiries. Build strong consultative relationships with clients — listen to needs, ask smart questions, and propose effective sign solutions. Create estimates, close sales, and manage follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction. Proactively follow up on leads, referrals, and new business opportunities. Maintain an up-to-date pipeline in our CRM and Corebridge systems. Project Management & Coordination
Own projects from sale to completion: estimates, proofing, production coordination, and delivery/install follow-up. Maintain constant communication with clients on project status, timelines, and changes. Schedule internal resources (design, production, installation) and track WIP daily. Coordinate with outside vendors or installers when needed. Sign Permitting
Gather necessary measurements, site photos, and installation considerations. Apply for and track sign permits with local municipalities. Ensure compliance with local codes and FASTSIGNS brand standards. Team Collaboration & Process Accountability
Work closely with the production and design teams to ensure accurate, on-time execution of jobs. Act as the voice of the customer internally and communicate job details clearly to ensure smooth handoffs. Participate in daily production meetings to prioritize jobs and remove roadblocks. Support the team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace. What You Bring
Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you like talking to people and helping solve problems. Organizational and multitasking ability — you’re comfortable juggling multiple projects. Curiosity and coachability — you’re eager to learn new products, tools, and processes. Confidence in working with basic measurements, visuals, and written job specs (we’ll train you). A desire to grow in a role with long-term development potential. Comfortable using email, basic office software, and learning internal systems. Nice to Have (But Not Required)
Prior experience in customer service, inside sales, retail, or project coordination Exposure to printing, signs, design, or construction industries Familiarity with visual communication, signage, or branding principles Any experience with Adobe Acrobat, Corebridge, or quoting systems What You’ll Get
Paid training in signage materials, production processes, and permitting Steady Monday–Friday hours — no nights or weekends Paid time off and holidays A close-knit team that supports growth and promotes from within
