As the second commercial hire in the US, you will own the full go‑to‑market effort: building relationships, generating revenue, establishing strategic partnerships. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy while working closely with the European leadership team, including the CEO and other counterparts in the US.
US Market Entry & Growth
Co‑lead the company’s US market entry strategy, translating global objectives into a clear and executable commercial plan.
Build early traction and brand presence in the US life sciences ecosystem.
Identify priority market segments and high‑value use cases across pharma, biotech, and academia.
Business Development & Sales Execution
Identify, target, and engage new customers across pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic organizations.
Sell into multiple stakeholders, including R&D, translational science, clinical development, and commercial teams.
Own the full sales cycle end‑to‑end: prospecting, pipeline development, needs assessment, solution positioning, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closing.
Develop long‑term, trusted client relationships to drive repeat business and expansion opportunities.
Partnerships & Market Presence
Build strategic partnerships with key industry players, research institutions, and ecosystem partners.
Represent the company at US‑based conferences, industry events, and networking forums to build visibility and credibility.
Act as a senior ambassador for the company in the US market.
Provide continuous feedback to leadership on US market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and pricing expectations.
Collaborate with product and leadership teams to inform product positioning, messaging, and roadmap decisions based on US customer insights.
Required Experience & Qualifications
5–10 years of business development or commercial experience within the life sciences sector (pharma, biotech).
Proven track record of closing complex, high‑value deals with multiple stakeholders.
Strong existing network across the US life sciences ecosystem.
Demonstrated ability to operate independently, take ownership, and deliver results in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
