Mobile Painter & Decorator – FM Service Provider - London & Hertfordshire – up to £45,000 + Package
Are you a Mobile Fabric / Painter & Decorator Engineer looking for a new challenge? Would you like to work for a leading Facilities Maintenance provider? An exciting opportunity to join an established Building Services company based across London & Hertfordshire.
CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mobile Fabric Engineer / Painter & Decorator to carry out planned and reactive commercial maintenance across commercial offices and high‑end residential buildings in London & Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, ideally from a Painting & Decorating background.
This position would be ideal for a Mobile Maintenance Engineer currently in a similar role who is keen to join an expanding company that can offer progression. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £45,000 (DOE) with a potential route into further career progression.
Due to company procedure you will need to report to the warehouse at 05:45 am every day before work to be issued the materials for the day before heading into London for your work. You will also be required to work every other Saturday as overtime (all Saturdays are available if wanted). This is a job and knock so once you have completed your work you will be heading out of London to avoid traffic.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver excellent customer service
Painting & Decorating
Assist with office moves (minor office churn) including furniture moves
Carry out basic “Fabric duties” – touching up paint work, tiling, tightening hinges, installing/repairing blinds, changing locks, making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and assembling small equipment such as chairs
Perform some plumbing activities – clearing blockages, attending to burst pipes, replacing components, servicing systems, etc.
Liaise with the contract management team
Investigate complaints and take appropriate action
Provide feedback to the help‑desk on the progress of M&E jobs
Carry out specialist technical and non‑technical work as deemed appropriate to the continuing maintenance function on the client portfolio
Offer technical support and backup as required
Ensure all personnel and contractors working in hazardous areas take all safety measures to prevent danger, avoid injury, and protect equipment
Use all relevant tools and equipment within the safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works
Ensure the client receives the highest level of service by carrying out reactive and planned maintenance, minor improvements
Ensure jobs are completed to a high standard
Assist multi‑skilled engineers where required
Hours of Work & Package Information
Basic salary of up to £45,000
Monday – Friday 05:45 am – 17:00 pm
20 days holiday + bank holidays
Company van & fuel card
Tablet & work phone provided
Full company uniform
Requirements
Ideally qualified – Painter & Decorator
A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
Multi‑skilled / multi‑trade
Good communication skills
