Cape Air
Overview
This position organizes schedules for pilots and ensures that they are utilized efficiently and comply with FAA Regulations and pilot CBA. Additionally, crew schedulers manage crewmember bids and coordinate training events according to the training schedule.
Primary Responsibilities
Organize daily schedules for pilots ensuring that they are utilized efficiently and comply with FAA Regulations and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Reschedule crewmembers as a result of irregular operations, mechanical, weather, sick calls, crew legalities, etc., in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
Comply with TSA advanced information system requirements for crewmembers on a daily basis (e‑APIS).
Meet with Director of Crew Scheduling weekly with 30‑day outlook for coverage.
Secure hotel accommodations, in conjunction with Crew Travel Manager, for crewmembers during irregular operations on short notice.
Work with Capacity Planning team to assist with changes in flight schedules.
Coordinate training events with the Training Department.
Coordinate regional transition of aircraft.
Process all pilot request forms (Shift Drop, Shift Add, Swap, Silver Bullet, etc.) and ensure any resulting needs for coverage are met.
Plan future coverage systemwide by managing open assignments and pilot schedules.
Prepare various reports on crewmember sick calls, irregularities, and other daily operational information.
Prepare reports on use of SVT/Part‑Time/On‑call pilots usage and efficiency.
Coordinate with Flight Followers during irregular operations to ensure effective operational performance.
Complete daily turnover summarizing the next day operational plan.
Complete Internal Department Turnover at the end of each work week.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
General knowledge of aviation and previous airline experience preferred.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes under pressure.
Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Team player.
Exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and embodiment of the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit.
