Help Wanted: BIM Technician / BIM Engineer (Low Voltage)

Applied Business Communications (ABcom) is seeking an experienced
BIM professional
to support our low-voltage and technology projects.
This position requires hands-on BIM experience
and is not an entry-level or estimating role.
You will be responsible for maintaining and updating BIM models and construction drawings, coordinating directly with customers and internal project teams to ensure plans are accurate, current, and constructible.
BIM Experience Is a MUST This role requires
real-world BIM experience
supporting active construction projects. Applicants without BIM experience will not be considered.
What You’ll Do
Develop, maintain, and update
BIM models and coordinated drawings
for low-voltage systems
Process
customer markups, design revisions, and field changes
into accurate BIM deliverables
Coordinate BIM updates with
customers, project managers, engineers, and field supervisors
Ensure drawings meet
project standards, coordination requirements, and installation needs
Support clash coordination and model accuracy as designs evolve
Maintain organized drawing sets and revision control throughout the project lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of hands‑on BIM experience in construction or low-voltage systems ( required )
Strong proficiency in
Revit and AutoCAD
(BIM-based workflows required)
Experience with
structured cabling, low-voltage, or technology infrastructure
preferred
Ability to manage multiple models, revisions, and deadlines without losing accuracy
Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers
Bachelor’s degree in a technology or construction-related field
or equivalent experience
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Long-term, high-profile commercial and technology projects
Stable workload with clear expectations
Team environment that values accuracy, coordination, and accountability
