Description of Work The Transfer Recruitment Specialist is a critical role focused on helping transfer students and supporters navigate the transition to UNL. They implement recruitment strategy for transfer populations and provide regular updates to their supervisor and the Admissions Leadership Team. The role includes representing UNL at community college visits, community college fairs, on‑campus events, daily visits, community engagement activities, and on‑call responsibilities. They interact with students and families in person, over the phone, via email, or approved SMS messaging. Additional projects related to recruitment and admissions may be assigned. The position requires interpreting admission, financial aid, and university policy to the general public and using data across systems to help meet enrollment goals. Extensive travel, nights, and weekends may be required during peak times.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Public speaking experience.
Ability to work independently.
Demonstrated inclusive thinking about interactions and programs.
Ability to relate to people of all ages, academic abilities, and cultures.
Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies.
Time‑management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Valid driver’s license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive campus or community involvement.
Experience as a student recruitment ambassador or tour guide.
Experience in customer service.
Experience using data to analyze outcomes and make recommendations for future work.
Fluency in an additional language, preferably Spanish.
