Job Summary
The Waiver Specialist provides accurate financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting project data, preparing reports, uploading data into the accounting system, and working with internal/external contacts to ensure the integrity of the data recorded. The Waiver Specialist will also be responsible for special project assignments associated with project accounting. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for Waiver preparation and distribution Maintain flow of documentation to ensure prompt payments to Vendors and Subcontractors Track and distribute current construction waivers Process sensitive job information for various Project Owners for waivers Obtain closeout waiver documents and prepare closeout documents to be provided to the customer as required to obtain payment Expedite and track waiver submittals Obtain conditional and unconditional waivers requiring approvals by management Responsible for some office management activities Self-manage assigned workload distribution Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential Other responsibilities as assigned Salary Information:
Min USD $32.00/Yr. Max USD $38.50/Yr. Physical and Mental Requirements
Must be self‑motivated, positive in approach, and professional in promoting company culture & mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners Must possess proven problem‑solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to effectively read, write, and give oral directions to project personnel Solid attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information Must have proven skill level to interpret project documents Must be able to effectively operate office equipment & computer devices commonly used in the industry Ability to make good judgments that could bind the company into contractual and professional agreements Ability to prioritize work and make independent decisions regarding the same Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements
High School diploma or GED equivalency (Minimum education required) Minimum of three (3) years of construction industry accounting experience in a similar role with general math skills Previous accounting software experience required Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project) Strong organization and time‑management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously Capability of reporting research results with open and clear communication skills Maintain a high level of confidentiality Regular attendance is mandatory Minimum years of experience 6+ (if applicable) License required (specify license if applicable; currently not listed) Company Overview
