This role offers tremendous opportunity to an individual who is equipped and eager to accept the challenges of an ambitious workload and steep learning curve.The day-to-day responsibilities of the Benefits Specialist vary greatly; but the primary function in this position is to assist the Account Team in servicing the needs of employee benefit clients.**How You Will Contribute:*** Assist clients with daily service functions and frequent ad hoc requests, escalating issues as needed* Create, review and edit employee benefit guides, benefit manuals and other client materials as requested* Administer marketing and renewal functions such as requests for proposal* Identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness of benefit programs* Participate in market meetings, client functions, industry seminars and training programs as directed* Maintain client records and update client communications* Data entry in excel/client reporting duties as assigned.* Updates files for resource library including current developments, legislative and regulatory changes, and market updates and work with the Account Team to advise impact to clients.**Licenses and Certifications:*** Must obtain and maintain active Life/Accident and Health Insurance Agent License within 1 year.**Skills & Experience to Be Successful*** Minimum of high school degree or equivalent required.* College degree preferred.* 2+ years of business experience, an understanding and knowledge of employee benefits a plus.* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to work independently.* Experience using Microsoft office, specifically Excel.Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills**Teammate Benefits & Total Well-Being**We go beyond standard benefits, focusing on the total well-being of our teammates, including:* *Health Benefits*: Medical/Rx, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance* *Financial Benefits*: ESPP; 401k; Student Loan Assistance; Tuition Reimbursement* *Mental Health & Wellness*: Free Mental Health & Enhanced Advocacy Services* *Beyond Benefits*: Paid Time Off, Holidays, Preferred Partner Discounts and more.*Not reflective of all benefits.
