What This Role Is Really About The Membership & Events Manager is responsible for ensuring that every guest and member feels genuinely welcomes, supported, and connected to our mission from the moment they walk through the door. This includes:
Membership Operations & Strategy (Primary Focus)
Overseeing daily membership operations and ensuring smooth, customer‑focused service.
Leading sales and retention efforts through strategic campaigns, effective follow‑up, and strong use of CRM tools.
Coaching a team of part‑time staff to deliver consistent, high‑quality service.
Monitoring membership trends and using data to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
Supporting long‑term membership growth by aligning operations with programming, marketing, and community outreach.
Facility Rentals & Event Coordination (Secondary Focus)
Responding to rental inquiries
Coordinating facility usage
Ensuring agreements, logistics, and communication across departments run smoothly
Balancing internal program needs with external rental requests
What We're Looking For Ideal candidates will be:
Team‑oriented and culture‑focused, able to foster a positive, accountable, and service‑minded work environment.
Confident in leading and developing part‑time staff, many of whom are newer to the workforce.
Comfortable with membership sales and customer service operations, or willing to learn and grow with support.
Collaborative partners to marketing, programs, and other departments to strengthen membership engagement and community impact.
Hours & Compensation
Full‑time, 40 hours/week
General Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:00am‑5:00pm, with occasional evenings/weekends
Salary Range: $50,821.51‑$63,526.88 (based on education/experience)

Minimum Qualifications Candidates with a combination of education and experience will be considered.
Bachelor's degree in business, recreation management, hospitality, or related field.
4 years of progressive leadership experience in customer service, recreation, hospitality, or membership‑based environments.
Experience with membership sales, CRM/POS systems, or facility rentals preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
