Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto)
Direct Auto Insurance, part of National General, offers auto, life, and other insurance products and is seeking a dynamic sales specialist at a retail location.
Responsibilities
Drive new business sales and attain business goals by building rapport and trust with customers.
Acquire, build, and retain a book of business within the market/retail location.
Generate new customers and cross-sell existing customers for product offerings including auto, life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance.
Sell to walk‑in customers, perform marketing calls, and conduct in‑person visits to build community relationships.
Assist customers in the office.
Minimum Qualifications
0–2 years of experience.
P&C licensing (preferred) or ability to attain required licensure within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Skills and Competencies
Successfully closes sales of insurance and ancillary products.
Meets and exceeds sales goals through new product sales and cross‑sell/retention.
Leverages community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain a physical presence.
Initiates outbound calls to established target customer base.
Monitors local market competitors and suggests initiatives to improve position.
Collaborates with Direct Sales Leadership on marketing and sales processes.
Delivers optimal results within metrics, ensuring compliance with all standard procedures.
Stays current on underwriting guidelines and company policies.
Processes customer payments, issues receipts, and verifies cash drawer reports.
Compensation Base compensation:
$20.00 per hour.
Total compensation:
Base hourly rate + incentive pay (commissions and bonuses) based on individual and team performance.
